‘#Redesign’ is a typographic poster campaign that highlights the urgency for reform within graphic design education, responding to the large gap between current teaching and contemporary industry demands. As the national curriculum struggles to respond to industry demands, key areas such as artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, collaboration, and equitable design are often overlooked. The campaign was developed through research into current educational frameworks and industry expectations, with a focus on how design teaching can better reflect ongoing change. A series of bold typographic posters were created to communicate this disconnect, using direct language and visual impact to capture attention. The work is aimed at design teachers, encouraging reflection on teaching methods and subject relevance.
The outcome is a poster campaign that highlights student concerns while challenging outdated approaches to design education. It acts as both a critique and a call to action, urging educators and institutions to reconsider the curriculum and its future direction. By raising awareness of these issues, the project aims to prompt more responsive and forward-thinking approaches to teaching graphic design.
