Outside
the Lines

Campaign Design

‘Outside the Lines’ is a collaborative educational campaign focused on improving the arts curriculum for 11–14 year olds. With only 3% of the average school week dedicated to art, it responds to the limited time and value placed on creative subjects. The project questions traditional approaches that prioritise figurative outcomes and aims to broaden how art is understood and taught.

The campaign was developed through interactive workshops that promote experimentation and participation. These sessions introduce students to alternative techniques, allowing them to move beyond rigid expectations and build confidence in their creative abilities. The visual identity supports this approach, incorporating bright colours, falling shapes, and angled text to convey a sense of energy, freedom, and movement. The outcome is an engaging campaign that combines hands-on learning with a bold visual system. It offers a fresh approach to arts education, encouraging both students and educators to reconsider how creativity can be nurtured within the classroom.
